Hello there, don't know, if anybody of you already got a Kryoflux device for dumping disks. If so this might be of interested. The Kryoflux informed me today that they provided a documentation of their intermediate low level storage format STREAM: [link] I got a Kryoflux last chrismas and already modified a Panasonic mechanism to become able to step to track -8 (below track 00) to read in the backside of flippy disks with the upper R/W head, but unfortunately I didn't manage to actually tests with some disks yet. Nor did I start writing some tool to do conversions from STREAM format or just do some analysation of known "difficult" protections. Womo |
