Well Since I posted this first original post over 4 years ago. I emailed Womo all the info I had on the 1571 I have in my collection with a speed control added. Its a very simple install, two wires, and a pot and resistor. Email me at
my yahoo.com account, with the above user name. I will email you the photos and info. I purchased this drive from a technicial who worked at Beckman. He had cloned a Supercardplus into this same drive along with a Burstnibbler cable. I am in the process, uhhh, very slow process of disassembling a 1541-2 with the direct drive mech and attempting to integrate the same hack, although it will require very small wires between the pcb and flywheel. Not there yet. |
