Just FYI, I wasn't picking on you if it sounded that way.

Since density detection works 99.9% of the time and you have to sort through the different densities by hand anyway, it doesn't seem any different to create a new file format or dump 4 standard nibs. I prefer the latter because no other tools need to be recompiled to analyze it, no one else picks up the format and starts using it, etc.

However, if ease of use is a problem, how about adding a command line switch that does this automatically for the user, naming it "name[0-3].nib"? Then you can piece together whichever tracks you think are best after they mail that to you.
