Hi there.
This is not really a protection problem per se, but I took a quick look at bank street writer 1985 version from broderbund
I've tried this title on several versions of vice, including the version compiled by the SPS crew. running in pal mode, it uses the fast loader and crashes when it gets to track 24. If I run vice in ntsc mode, the program loads successfully and when it gets to track 24, it brings up the main screen.
but if I try it on my real c64 pal machine, it loads without crashing, but it uses the normal cbm loader.
Peter, are you able to test it out on both your pal and ntsc system to dertine it's correct behavior? Is the fastloader is only meant for ntsc systems, I think we could have an issue with emulation.
Cheers.
