'nibconv batch processing long filenames'

I apologise for being so ignorant. I could not find documentation that would help me understand how to do a batch conversion (NIB to G64) of an entire directory of NIB files.

I found a thread with the same question (by a gentleman named Peepo). The command recommended to him was:

FOR %x IN (*.NIB) DO nibconv %x

A file named, for example, "Five Finger Discount (USA, Europe) (DEMO).nib" (not a real file, by the way) would cause an error. I can do it one file at a time by putting the file name in quotes. I was hoping for a batch method. Is there a switch to accomplish this? Is this a limitation of Windows XP's Command Shell?
