Seems like a cutdown edit of the old usenet posts from Harald Seeley. Uhm... a bit of a correction... the GCR can either be slightly more efficient, or faster on-the-fly decoding. You cannot have both, trust me all the drive coders have tried. There is no entropy which works. =] |
