VICE (<=2.2, at least, I haven't tested 2.3) has all the G64 parameters hard coded and ignores the G64 header. For this reason, any G64 *had* to be 42/84 tracks, exactly 7928 bytes each. Any more than that must be truncated or VICE would crash. The later Vorpal has tracks longer than this, and the drive must be slowed to 296 or so to write all the data back. |
